Obituary

Marvin Allen Kaufman, 85, devoted husband of Marilyn, nee Fox, for 56 years; loving father of Elizabeth (Matt) Fox, Shelly (Doug) Nash and Dana Kaufman; doting “Boppy” to granddaughters Jessica and Haley Nash; cherished uncle, cousin and friend to many. Preceded in death by his parents David and Rose Kaufman, his sisters Sylvia and Ethel and his brothers Harold and Sam – who was his business partner for over 55 years. Marvin was a proud Korean War veteran. He held a masters degree in Economics. A lifelong Chicagoan, he loves his city, jazz music, reading, classic movies and most of all, his family and friends. Chapel service Friday, 10:00 AM, at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. Marv remodeled our kitchen and bathroom when we moved into our house nearly 13 years ago.
We met him through his daughter Dana ,whom I worked with in De Paul University’s Communication Department for many years. Our sympathies to Dana and the rest of Marv’s family and friends.
